On Building High Performance Teams Capable of Exceeding Goals…

7-Consecutive Years of Increased Sales Because of PRINT!

Before PRINT®:

A global company’s senior marketing team was attached to an advertising campaign that was not yielding desired results. Although this advertising approach was counter-intuitive, the situation persisted longer than it should have. Many of the team members were in Shadow which prevented them from thinking beyond their box. They were not aware of their Shadow blockages.

After PRINT®:

Shadow blockages were identified and Shadow reduction tools were adopted. This led to a re-evaluation of their advertising campaign, with greater open mindedness about modifications that needed to be made. Measurable results were achieved – seven consecutive years of increased sales correlated to the modified advertising campaign.

On Recruiting and Retaining Excellent Talent…

Greater Retention and a 50% Reduction in Recruiting Costs!

Before PRINT®:

An international company’s hiring strategy was to seek out qualified individuals who had personality characteristics that matched those who had been successful in the same position.

After PRINT®:

The company focused instead on Unconscious Motivators® so the degree of Shadow Behavior could be accurately predicted. Triggers associated with the position, the prospective manager and the company’s culture were also evaluated relative to the prospect’s Unconscious Motivators®. These were far better predictors of success. Interviewers then asked candidates for examples of when their Unconscious Motivators® were satisfied in the past and when they were not. This process revealed whether candidates would fit into the team and overall company culture. The result was better candidate fit, greater retention and a 50% reduction in recruiting costs.

On Developing Exceptional Leaders…

VP Performing Better and an Infinitely More Engaged Staff!

Before PRINT®:

A Fortune 500 company Vice President, responsible for over 500 people, had an excessively strong need to succeed and achieve (his primary Unconscious Motivator®). This manifested as an extreme need for recognition (Shadow Behavior). The VP did not know how often he was exhibiting this Shadow Behavior or how negatively it was impacting other people–and his career with the company. He was great at managing up but less so managing down. He often took credit for the work of others.  His Shadow Behavior created tension and discord among a very hard working and dedicated staff.

After PRINT®:

Using the Paul Hertz Group Best Self Survey, staff shared perceptions of the VP’s Shadow Behaviors. They also reached greater understanding because they learned the VP’s Unconscious Motivators®. The VP learned and was coached on Shadow reduction tools and both he and his team learned strategies to minimize the VP’s Trigger situations, After 4 months the VP reduced Shadow Behavior by 70%–as measured on a subsequent Best Self Survey. The VP is still in the position and manages an infinitely more engaged staff.
